The Wyoming Business Council has awarded $2500

The Wyoming Business Council has awarded $2500 from its Rural Development Grant Program to the Platte Valley Arts Council (PVAC) for its Platte Valley Public Art Project.  Six new murals and sculptures will be installed this summer and revealed on September 3.

PlatteValley Arts Council is a nonprofit organization serving Saratoga, Encampment and Riverside with arts and cultural events and programs. PVAC has worked to keep art in our everyday lives and believes funds received will strengthen the work being done.

PlatteValley Public Art Project Coordinator, Stacy Crimmins, says

"The project budget is over $104,000, so every dollar helps. We have raised about half of the funding needed at this point."

In addition to grant funding, the PVAC will launch a mosaic mural fundraiser in May, and a silent auction will be held at the Grand Reveal Event on September 3.
