Shirley Hillyard

Shirley Dawn Hillyard, aka Ayla Dawn, is a Wyoming born native with strong ties to the southwest. After living almost half her life in Arizona Shirley has claimed both states to be home. Shirley has been crafting, creating and repurposing as long as she can remember. Her imagination has been transforming the world around her into different forms of expression her whole life. In her younger years her father was a key influence to her art. She learned a lot watching and working with him as he fashioned exquisite leather apparel and accessories, beautiful silver jewelry and conchos; not to mention carved antler sculptures. All became crafts Shirley would later incorporate into a list of various artistic mediums ranging from culinary to tattoo.
